Northern Ireland was slightly different to England in the sense that all badges were exactly the same with different title scrolls depicting area. The RED HAND of Ulster being the common emblem. Lasting only 2 years, these cap badges are in great demand by collectors.

Western Fire Authority had 10 fire stations to cover it's designated area. This cap badge manufactured by T.A Butler Badge Company who were official suppliers to the brigade is in good condition. The small enamel "hand of Ulster" centre fixed to the standard Northern Ireland economy issue, lined Home Office star is fixed by a short, thin brass pin, both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the cap badge
