This Defence Fire Service cap badge, the 1st batch produced for the newly formed fire service in 1991 was issued with the wrong emblem of the joint forces that made up this military fire service.

It was formed amalgamating various military fire services into one combined force including the Army Fire Service, The admiralty Fire Service and others.

Please see pictures of the revised emblem which was in force throughout the services period until 2004 when it became the Defence Fire and Rescue Service.

A nice collectable badge that was officially issued and recalled although numbers produced are unknown but rumored to be 200/300? Will accept opinions on this from collectors who may have more accurate figures as to numbers produced!
