This cap badge is the rare gilt enamel officers cap badge used by the brigade in 1948 after the N.F.S ( National Fire Service ) 1941 to 1947 handed back fire control to regional county & county borough fire brigades. Gloucester City had 3 fire stations covering 8 square miles in area so these gilt officers badges are extremely rare. The badge manufactured by Mike Trueman Badges of Birmingham is in good condition & the enamel centre is attached to the standard economy issue home office star & both cap fixing lugs are intact to the rear
