A Horsham Borough Fire Brigade 1911 to 1941 large brass button in good condition.

Horsham Fire Brigade started its life in 1840 as a volunteer fire brigade & in 1911 was taken over by Horsham Urban District Council as the town had grown very much since the volunteer town fire brigade first came into force. It is not clear whether the volunteer fire brigade prior to 1911 used this pattern button of gothic style letters H.F.B because the town crest was above the 1st old fire station.
