Formed in 1918 by grant of the Royal title, the Royal Army Service Corps continued until 1965 when it became part of The Royal Corps Of Transport, a newly formed Corps! Its primary duties are military administration & supply, responsible for transport over land, lakes & coastal area’s, air dispatch, barrack administration, administration & staffing of The Army Fire Service, supply of food, water, fuel, technical & mechanical equipement!

The motto of the corps "In Arduis Fidelis" means “ faithfull In Adversity “ was well deserved & the Royal title was granted as a prefix because of the outstanding services of the corps during WWW2 (World War two) bronze officers cap badge is in great original condition, a used cap badge but very distinct features of the cap badge remain. The motif of King George 6th in the centre, K.C. (kings crown) above & the slider attachment to the rear nice & sturdy! The title scroll bearing the words “ Royal Army Service Corps “ below the wreath part of the badge. A nice officers cap badge of the WW2 period for the collector.
