These original 17th Century copper fire insurance plaques are in great demand as many reproductions have been produced ! This one from The Royal Insurance Company & dates from around 1845. It bears the "liver bird" as its emblem because it's original 1845 routes were in Liverpool & & the records are in the Liverpool Records Office. It is made of pure copper & has the relevant nail holes where it was originally fixed to a building. In great condition & still retaining some of its original paint, this original copper fire mark is a great addition to any collection.
