This 100% Victorian unknown cap badge is possibly military/fire brigade/authoritative i.e. inspector or someone ranked in their field. We believe an officers cap badge, lugs are firmly attached to the rear & display no “feet”, a trait of today’s spot welded fakes.

The badge is made of white metal & defines beautiful detail in the oak leaves & acorns, the crossed axes & surmounted by Queen Victoria’s distinctly regal “pointed” shaped crown, synonymous with the previous Georgian crowns of one hundred (100) years before!

A well constructed & interesting badge, we would welcome information on this badge but we paid for it individually as an interesting unknown badge that caught our eye’s!
