A great condition Anglesey Fire Department post ww2 era 1948 1st issue cap badge manufactured by London Badge & Button Company of Northamptonshire. Anglesey Island is an island settlement linked by a bridge to the mainland in North Wales & has an area of 276 square miles, Anglesy Fire Department had 5 fire stations covering this area & this is the first pattern cap badge used until 1952 when the brigade changed the badge design to a coat of arms badge. The enamel centre is fixed to the standard fully pressed issue Home Office star & both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the badge.
