The Army Commando formed 2 Special Boat squadrons in early 1941 s.B.S was formed as Folboat Section No 8 Commando in Nov 1940. Renamed D Squadron S.B.S when sent to the Middle East in March 1941 but was renamed yet again in 1942 as D Squadron S.B.S. 

No2 S.B.S was formed in April 1942 & was part of 1st Special Service Brigade & amalgamated with the Combined Operations Pilotage Parties under Lieutenant Commander Clogstoun-Willmott.

They wear a Combined Operations divisional badge under the shoulder titles of each arm. These shoulder titles for the Commando S.B.S are a reproduction pair in good unused condition
