Bedfordshire & Luton Fire & Rescue Service was formed in 1996 changing title of the former Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue Service & the brigade lasted until 2012 reverting title & cap badge back to the former Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue Service. This original issue cap badge was only in force as the 2nd pattern for 4 years before the cap badge changed title back to Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue Service. These cap badges will become rarer as time goes on because of the very few years issued.
