Berkshire & Reading Fire Brigade was formed in 1948 & disbanded in 1974 when the brigade changed its name to Royal Berkshire Fire Brigade. This cap badge has both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the economy issue standard home office star, the enamel centre correctly secured to the star via inverted cut prongs.
