Buckinghamshire Fire Brigade was formed in 1948 after the NFS ( National Fire Service 1941 to 1947 ) handed back fire control to regional county & county borough fire brigades after ww2.  Buckinghamshire Fire Brigade had 33 fire stations covering 749 square miles of area. 
This Buckinghamshire Fire Brigade original cap badge has the enamel centre fixed to the standard economy issue, lined Home Office star & both cap fixing lugs attached to the rear of the badge.
