Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service formed in 2004 with a badge and name change from Cheshire Fire Service. These modern fire & rescue cap badges from many brigades are very difficult to obtain nowadays because many brigades do not wear caps now as part of official uniform issue. They are kept in stores with the minimum order batches of badges to be issued for an occassion where undress uniform is required. Needless to say very few cap badges are available on the open market to collectors !
This Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service 2004 issued cap badge is in excellent condition and looks unissued. Manufactured by Toye UK the official cap badge suppliers to the brigade, its enamel centre fixed to the standard issue fully pressed Home Office star, both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the cap badge. A very hard to obtain modern fire and rescue service cap badge.
