A nice original Cornwall County Fire Brigade cap badge issued for only 4 years from 1952 to 1974 when the brigade changed its title scroll. The cap badge book lists this badge as the earlier badge in force from 1948 to 1952 but i have my doubts on this because these chrome scroll cap badges seem much easier to obtain than the harder red scroll. I personally believe that the red scroll cap badges were issued first !

The patina on this used cap badge is good & the badge has been on a cap at some stage in its life because the cap fixing lugs to the rear have been slightly pinched together for a split pin to secure the badge in place on the cap.
