Amongst collectors of cap badges, occasionally collectors come across ERROR cap badges. There are a few examples i have in my fire badge collection, Northumberland Fire Brigade 1952 with an error title spelt NORTNUMRERLAND, Bedfordshire Fire Service 1952 to 1974 pattern has an error badge with 2 lions instead of a lion & an ox, Leicester & Rutland Fire Service with colours red & black the wrong way round within the shield etc. This Cumbrian Ambulance Service 1974 to 1986 cap badge clearly mis spelt as COMBRIA. An example of a normal badge is shown within my pictures. Only handfulls of these ERROR badges exist on the selling market as most are recalled or destroyed.
