The first pattern post war cap badge for Darlington Fire Brigade was this "red ring" type issued from 1948 to 1960 when the brigade changed the cap badge centre to the Darlington coat of arms. In great condition with the enamelled centre fixed to the the standard economy issue, lined home office star via a thin brass pin. Both cap fixing lugs are complete to the rear & manufactured by London Button & Badge Company !
