The first pattern post ww2 cap badge for Darlington Fire Brigade was this "red ring" type issued from 1948 to 1960 when the brigade changed the cap badge centre to the Darlington coat of arms. In great condition with the enamelled centre fixed to the the standard fully pressed issue, Home Office star via 2 straps, both cap fixing lugs are intact to the rear of the cap badge
