Dewsbury Fire Brigade in West Yorkshire was a county borough fire brigade that post ww2 was formed in 1948 after the N.F.S ( National Fire Service ) handed back fire control to regional county & county borough fire brigades. With only 1 fire station covering 11 square miles of the surrounding area, original cap badges are sought after.

This cap badge for Dewsbury Fire Brigade is in excellent condition. Manufactured by Mike Trueman Badges of Birmingham, the enamel centre fixed to the standard fully pressed Home Office star by 2 straps, both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear.
