The East Surrey Regiment was formed in 1881 after the British Army reforms of that year & proved itself as a line infantry fighting regiment throughout the late Victorian campaigns & the 2 world wars of the 20th century! Merged in 1959 with the Queens Royal West Surrey Regiment to form The Queens Surrey Regiment, this fine brass enamel sweetheart brooch is post 1911 & in very good used condition. A long brass brooch clasp assembly for attachment to any garment.
