Hartlepool Fire Brigade post ww2 was formed in 1948 & lasted until 1974 merging into Durham County Fire Brigade. The brigade shared area with West Hartlepool Fire Brigade which merged into Hartlepool Fire Brigade in 1967 adding area & 1 fire station to expand the brigade.
This cap badge manufactured by Mike Trueman Badges of Birmingham has the enamel centre fixed to the standard fully pressed Home Office star & both cap fixing lugs are fixed to the rear of the badge.
