Highlands & Islands Fire Brigade formed in 1983 after the The Northern Fire Brigade formed in 1975 changed it's title in 1983 to Highlands & Islands Fire Brigade.  The brigade had 25 fire stations covering an area of 1,323 square miles & lasted until 2005 when the brigade followed all other Scottish fire brigades changing titles to Fire & Rescue Services & became Highlands & Islands Fire & Rescue Service !
This Highlands & Islands senior officers cap badge manufactured by Mike Trueman Badges of Birmingham is in excellent condition.  The standard firefighters cap badge, the enamel centre fixed to the standard lined economy issue Home Office star & attached to the officers wreath cap badge,  the 2 cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the badge !
