Holland County Fire Brigade was formed in 1948 after The N.F.S ( National Fire Service ) handed back fire control to regional county n& county borough fire brigades. There are 2 patterns of Holland County Fire Brigade cap badge to collect. The fist issue was a red ring 2 piece cap badge & the 2nd was a 1 piece pressing. Holland County boasted 8 fire stations covering 419 square miles of are & was also officially a part of Lincolnshire county.

This cap badge is in excellent condition & the rarer of the Holland County cap badges in force until 1974 with only 4 years of issue. The enamel centre fixed to the standard economy issue, lined Home Office star by a thin brass pin, both cap fixing lugs are intact to the rear of the cap badge.
