Kingston Upon Hull Fire Brigade post ww2 started life in 1948 after the N.F.S ( National Fire Service ) handed back fire control to regional county & county borough fire brigades. It had 4 fire stations covering 23 square miles of area & there are 2 variations of cap badge to collect for this fire brigade, a chrome & a gilt variation !
This gilt variation badge manufactured by Mike Trueman Badges of Birmingham is in excellent condition. The enamel centre fixed to the fully pressed Home Office star via 2 straps & the 2 cap fixing lugs intact to the rear of the cap badge.
