Set up as a police force in 1839 & is the 2nd largest police force in the UK after London's Metropolitan Police force. The lapel badge is a chrome enamel badge with horseshoe fitting at the rear & nice stamp mark of Loyd Payne & Amiel Ltd. It depicts the red rose of Lancashire with the Kings Crown above denoting a date between Edwardian Britain & Elizabeth 2nds reign.
