Leicester City Fire Brigade was formed post ww2 ( 1939 to 1945 ) when the National Fire Service created in 1941 disbanded & the government handed back fire control to regional county & county borough fire brigades. 
This badge is early issue & has damage both to the enamel & also the rear of the Home Office standard lined economy issue star the 2 cap fixing lugs are missing.
