A  retro period London G.L.C ( Greater London Council ) gilt  cap badge which is the thicker crown & thicker waves variation manufactured by Marples & Beasley Badge Company of Birmingham, official suppliers to the brigade. The badge is a 2 piece badge with the enamelk centre fixed to the standard issue M&B lined economy issue Home Office star, the cap fixing slider intact to the rear of the badge. There is a slight chip in the badge title enamel in the word LONDON but overall the badge has excellent patina with striking features.
