Another popular London Fire Brigade cap badge to offer, this cap badge being the 2nd pattern post war cap badge worn from 1952 to 1965 & known as "the open towers" cap badge. The LCCLFB London County Council London Fire Brigade wore this cap badge for 14 years until the forming of the GLCLFB (Greater London Council London Fire Brigade) in 1965 which saw the London Fire Brigade take in all the greater London county borough fire brigades & also swallow up most of the disbanded Middlesex Fire Brigade, West & East Ham Fire Brigades, Croydon plus parts of Surrey, Hertfordshire, Essex & Kent!

This very nice condition original badge manufactured by Marples & Beasley has the more common slider cap attachment although lugged varieties exist in smaller numbers, London being one of the leading brigades in using slider cap attachments in post war years!
