A great condition Merioneth Fire Service cap badge from the post ww2 1948 to 1974 era manufactured by London Badge & Button Company of Northamptonshire.
Merioneth was a county brigade & had 8 fire stations covering an area of 660 square miles, the badge has both cap fixing lugs attached to the rear  of the badge & the enamel centre fixed to the fully pressed issue Home Office star.
