A complete set of 100 % original cap badges in a deep wall mounting frame that represents the fire brigades of Liverpool & surrounding area's that formed Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service from 1948 to current day. The badges have been checked & i can confirm every badge is an original issued badge & no reproductions are amongst them. The 11 cap badges are as follows.

Birkenhead Fire Brigade 1948 to 1974

Liverpool City Fire Brigade 1963 to 1974

Liverpool City Fire Service 1948 to 1963

Merseyside County Fire Brigade 1977 to 1985

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service 2004 to present day

Merseyside Fire Brigade 1974 to 1977

Merseyside Fire Brigade 1985 to 2000

Merseyside Fire Service 2000 to 2004

Southport Fire Brigade 1948 to 1974

St Helens Fire Brigade 1948 to 1974

Wallasey County Borough Fire Brigade 1948 to 1972

The Wallasey cap badge is the early domed star variation which in itself is rare & also the new fire & rescue badge is also an expensive badge to buy individually if you can find one.  Also note that the red ring variation was only used until 1972 when stores ran out of them & the council decided to issue a handfull of the Wallasey County Borough Ambulance Service blue ring badges as a cost cutting excercise with the new fire services act of 1974 looming. All county borough fire brigades were disbanded & merged into county fire brigades. Obviously this blue ring varition is not amongst the frame being such a rare badge to find that few ever come out for sale. It took me nearly 30 years to find one for my personal collection, mainly because both ambulance cap badge collectors & fire brigade collectors have snapped those that ever came up.

The badges have been mounted in a nice deep frame ready for wall hanging & are a great representation of Liverpool & surrounding area original issue fire brigade cap badges.
