This 1974 to 85 issue Northumberland Fire Brigade cap badge is a hard to obtain error issue where a small batch of badges were made by the London Badge Company with a mes-spelt title reading NORTNUMBERLAND. These were issued to fire fighters before being withdrawn and then recalled, however, some remained in circulation and still crop up now and again.
This example has been issued and shows sign of wear but very good used condition, The London Badge Company stamped on rear of home office star and lugs complete.
