South Eastern Scotland Fire Brigade was in force from 1948 to 1975 when the brigade disbanded & the area was divided up into 2 new regions, Central Region Fire Brigade & Lothian & Borders Fire Brigade. The area covered by the 33 fire stations that formed South Eastern Fire Brigade covered 2,428 square miles of area. The cap badge depicts the standard emblem for most Scottish fire brigades of the period with the name of the brigade in the outer circlet. There are 2 patterns to collect, chrome & gilt variations. This cap badge manufactured by Mike Trueman Badges Of Birmingham is the gilt variation in good condition, the enamel centre attached the the standard fully pressed Home Office star by 2 straps, both cap fixing lugs intact to the rear !
