These enamelled lapel badge were worn throughout the 1940's and are a popular collectable for the home front collectors. Many of them especially the county borough forces attract much higher prices and also are S.C. (special constable) lapels. This lapel badge has the 'horseshoe' fitment to the rear and manufacturers J.R.Gaunt, London stamp. Also numbered 1168, in good condition.
