Another classic fake fire brigade cap badge in this mid 1980's dealer produced Wolverhampton Fire Brigade cap badge, an actual police collar badge attached to a standard economy issue, lined Home Office star & both cap fixing lugs attached to the rear of the badge. This being a chrome police collar badge with lug pinched & spread outwards. There is also a brass variation he used a pre war brass collar badge & did the same. 
The dealer used all manner of enamel badges to glue / spot weld, cut lugs of police collar badges, even spoon crests, attach them to Home Office stars.
